In 1909, economist Alfred Weber posed a fascinating problem: how do you find the single best location that minimises the total distance from multiple points? Originally dreamt up to help factories and warehouses optimise their locations, the "Weber problem" has puzzled mathematicians for over a century.
We thought: what if instead of solving where to put warehouses, we solved where friends should meet? Same elegant mathematics, infinitely better purpose. So we named ourselves after the problem we're solving – because finding the optimal meeting point for humans is far more interesting than finding it for cargo. Plus, Weber just sounds friendlier than "Multi-Modal Transport Optimisation App", doesn't it?
